From washing machines to artists

This audio tour is a journey through time from the foundation of the Merker & Meining company in 1873 to Merker AG and the Yellow Quadrangle of the present. It is based on the records of company founder Fritz Merker-Schaufelberger and his grandson Walter Merker-Sauter.
A voice leads the visitors, wearing headphones, through the former factory in the Merker site. Facts from the company and family history, sounds that paint pictures, advertising slogans and music create a stimulating listening experience. On the way through the corridors and cellars of the thoughtfully renovated building, visitors can see photos, posters, brochures and equipment from the various epochs of the former Merker AG. Experience a piece of Baden's industrial history.
